Product Description:
This accessory incorporates a mounting fixture at the end of a 40 inch (102 cm) segmented fiberglass wand and is well-suited for saltwater use. The wand unscrews into three sections for easier storage and transport. All radiation sensors are compatible with the wand, which allows the user to place the sensor in hard to reach areas such as in aquarium tanks and greenhouse.

Product Description:
The MQ-510 quantum meter is designed for underwater PAR measurements and already applies the sensor's immersion effect correction factor to the meter readings through firmware. The meter provides excellent measurements under all light sources, including LEDs. The meter consists of a waterproof quantum sensor attached via waterproof cable to a handheld meter. The waterproof sensor incorporates a blue-enhanced silicon photodiode and custom optical filters with a rugged, anodized aluminum body with acrylic diffuser. The underwater quantum sensor is typically used in salt water aquariums where corals are grown. Note: The handheld meter is not waterproof, only the sensor and cable are waterproof.
Full-spectrum Sensor
Features an improved detector that provides excellent measurements under all light sources, including LEDs, right out of the box. The full-spectrum quantum sensor has a spectral range of 389 to 692 nm ± 5 nm seen in graph to the left. The sensor is available attached to a hand-held meter that provides a digital readout (MQ-510), with USB communication and custom software (SQ-520), and in multiple analog outputs to be used with a datalogger or voltmeter.
Ready for Underwater Use
All Apogee Underwater Quantum Meters and Sensors models (MQ-210, MQ-510, SQ-520) have the immersion effect correction factor preprogramed in the firmware or sensor software allowing the user to make excellent underwater measurements right out of the box. Sensors feature a waterproof sensor head that is potted solid for a complete seal and to ensure it has no hollow cavities for water to penetrate and cause measurement errors.
How is the MQ-510 different from previous Apogee quantum sensors?
The MQ-510 performs exactly the same underwater as the MQ-500, but the MQ-510 simply multiplies the PAR reading by 1.32 to account for the immersion effect. The MQ-510 is a full-spectrum quantum sensor (SQ/MQ-500 Series) with a spectral range of 389 to 692 nm ± 5 nm, which can be seen in the graph below. This improved spectral respose increases the acuracy of LED measurements.
Datalogging Capabilities
The MQ-210 and MQ-510 meters record up to 99 manual measurements. In logging mode the meter will make a measurement every 30 seconds. Every 30 minutes the meter will average the sixty 30 second measurements and record the averaged value. The meter can store up to 99 averages. The SQ-520 USB sensor has internal memory capable of storing 10,000 user-specified periodic measurements that can be downloaded to a computer.

Product Description:
The new SQ-420 smart quantum sensor can be connected directly to a computer for taking spot measurements or graphing and datalogging real-time PPFD using the included software. The sensor can also act as a stand-alone PAR datalogger by simply connecting it to any standard 5 V DC USB power plug. Internal memory within the sensor head is capable of storing 10,000 user-specified periodic measurements that can be downloaded as a CSV file to a computer for analysis.
The waterproof sensor incorporates a blue-enhanced silicon photodiode and custom optical filters with a rugged, anodized aluminum body with acrylic diffuser. Note: The handheld meter is not waterproof, only the sensor and cable are waterproof.
Original Sensor
A lower-cost option that is excellent for all light sources, except most LEDs, where post-measurement correction factors need to be applied to achieve accurate readings. The original quantum sensor has a spectral range of 410 to 655 nm seen in graph to the right. The sensor is available attached to a hand-held meter that provides a digital readout (MQ-210) and in multiple analog outputs to be used with a datalogger or voltmeter.

We’ve got you covered.
Provide protection for your livestock and encase any aquarium with this complete Do-It-Yourself mesh screen lid kit.
Glass lids trap in heat, do not allow proper evaporation and build up salt creep that can hurt light penetration Stylish mesh screen tops are the answers to these woes by being lightweight, allow zero heat buildup and have very little impact on light penetration.
Each kit includes: a cut to size frame, trimmable mesh screen, spline and break-away corners for cord management
